Celebrating the launch of our mini-opera, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, Teddington Society presents Figaro Live! A 45-minute family concert with a screening of Mozart’s ‘Le Nozze Di Figaro”, live performances and a fun, interactive singing workshop for kids aged 4-9, followed by a chance to interact and ask questions.

Citizen Artists Kids is born from the friendship between two mothers and opera lovers. Sonia, one of the UK’s most sought-after-up-and-coming opera conductors and Claire, skilled cellist who chose a career in business and project development had been looking into sharing in an accessible and fun way their love for opera with their children, so they founded Citizen Artists Kids!

Citizen Artists Kids is a revolutionary tool designed for children ages 4-9. Beside live family performances C.A.K is an online platform which offers quarterly programmes to entertain, educate and immerse your children in the magical world of Opera!

With the support of The Teddington Society, Citizen Artists Kids is thrilled to be presenting you a family concert to introduce children aged 4-9 to opera including:

  • Screening of our mini opera Mozart’s Le Nozze Di Figaro, the masterpiece has been cleverly cut down to 17min, digitally animated, sung in the original language and narrated in English for the pleasure of children
  • Live performances by acclaimed singers: Claire Lees, soprana, Camilla Kerslake, best selling, BRIT nominated soprano, and Josephine Thorpe, mezzo-soprano
  • Claire Lees and Josephine Thorpe are singing Via, resti servita (Susanna and Marcellina Duet) Camilla Kerslake is singing Porgi amor (Countess’s aria)
  • After the performance, all kids will be asked to participate in a singing workshop with Claire Lees, followed by the chance to interact and ask questions to our singers
